Top 5 for Spring!

Thursday 23 April 2015

Hey Guys!

So today I have for you my picks for Spring! I'm super late to the party I know... But better late than never!

Spring is all about the pastel polishes for me, so I rifled through my collection for my favourites this year. I very easily could have picked the 4 polishes from the Color Club 'Paris in Love' collection that I own and used in my Easter mani HERE but I decided to mix it up a bit.

So here they are:

From left to right on the swatch wheel: Romper Room, Macaroon Swoon, Fashion Playground, Holy Chic! and Lilac Luster.

1. Essie: Romper Room

Romper room is just the most gorgeous baby pink. It is very subtle and can be built up for full coverage in 3 coats (Shown on the swatch wheel).

2. Color Club: Macaroon Swoon

Now I'm generally not a fan of yellow polishes. They just don't really suit my skin tone but Macaroon Swoon is an absolute beauty. The colour is just right! Not too in your face just quite understated and pretty.

3. Essie: Fashion Playground

I have a real thing for mint green polishes. Its one of those shades that I own rather a lot of dupes or polishes with very subtle differences in colour. Mint Candy Apple was one of my very first Essie shades but I only picked up fashion playground recently. They are very similar in colour except
Fashion Playground has a gorgeous subtle shimmer to it which I love!

4. Color Club: Holy Chic!

I think this polish is my all time favourite at the moment. It just makes me so happy! I have a real thing for powder blue at the moment. All because of a bag in River Island which I fell in love with but it was marked and I've never managed to find it since!

5. Ella + Mila: Lilac Luster

Part of their 'Love' collection. I bought the entire collection as I love it so much! I'm not overly fussed with purple but I adore lilac so much and this is just perfect! It is also 5 free and cruelty free. What's not to love!?

Here they are on a swatch wheel side by side (I used 3 thin coats of each but the Color Club and Ella Mila would have definitely been fine with 2):

That's it!

I hope you liked these!

What are you favourite spring shades?
