Elegant Colour Block Nails

Thursday 16 April 2015

Hey Guys!

Today I have some simple yet elegant nails for you.

The base colour is Kandy Colors 'Cafe Latte' a gorgeous pink toned nude polish (purchase from kandycolors.com). The white is +OPI Products 'Alpine Snow' and the Gold glitter is +butter LONDON 'West End Wonderland' I love this polish it is so pretty; it has both gold and copper glitters which give it a real depth.

I didn't do a tutorial for these but I will explain the process since it was so simple! I started off painting my nails with Cafe Latte and then applied +☆ DREAM POLISH ☆ Gem glam top coat (a quick dry top coat). I then placed a straight vinyl from +NailVinyls™ at an angle across my nail and applied Alpine Snow to this section. I removed the vinyl immediately and again added quick dry top coat. I then placed another vinyl at the opposite angle and applied West End Wonderland. Again, I removed the vinyl immediately and then topped it all with Gem Glam top coat.

The Nail vinyls give nice crisp lines and are super easy to work with. I prefer these to using stripping tape since they are pre-cut they are much less hassle. You can purchase them at nailvinyls.com

Obviously I just applied glitter to my pointer and pinky. I used my own DIY peel off base (with PVA glue) for easy glitter removal. Application of the butter london polish is so easy. This was three coats for full coverage all applied with the brush!

Cafe Latte also applied beautifully. Only 2 coats for full coverage.

I hope you like this design!
